This recognition underscores Skylum's commitment to innovation and empowering photographers with cutting-edge tools to bring their creative vision to life.
TIPA, renowned for its discerning evaluation of imaging products, lauded Luminar Neo for its remarkable advancements in AI-powered editing tools. Among the standout features highlighted by TIPA are GenErase, GenExpand, and GenSwap tools released in late 2023, which provide photographers with the latest technologies in the world of AI-assisted photo editing while also giving them unparalleled control over their compositions. These tools enable photographers to effortlessly remove unwanted objects, expand the frame, and seamlessly replace or add specific elements to their photos, all while preserving the authenticity of the original scene.
“The company points out that their AI tools are there to serve the photographer’s vision, not replace it, a sentiment widely praised by TIPA editors,” said the TIPA panel.
Other features released over the past year include Neon & Glow, which helps create visually striking nightscapes and can add a futuristic look to any scene, and Tilt-Shift, which can transform “real” locations to look like miniature scale model representations.
Luminar Neo has won multiple top industry awards, such as the Red Dot Brands & Communication Design award in the User Interface category and the TIPA World Awards for Best Imaging Software in 2022 and 2023.
“We are honored to receive the TIPA Award for Best Imaging Software Enthusiast 2024,” said Ivan Kutanin, CEO of Skylum. “At Skylum, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and providing photographers with the tools they need to unleash their creativity. Luminar Neo represents the culmination of our efforts, and we are thrilled to see it recognized by TIPA year after year.”
It’s been a year of many exciting developments for Luminar Neo, and we’re proud to continue delivering award-winning software with the latest technology to our customers. In the spirit of ever-upward growth, we’re unveiling more powerful tools and a fresh look with our 2024 Spring Update.
